Menurut Andreas, tanda seseorang bermimpi adalah ada gerakan pada bola mata saat tidur. Dalam bukunya The Interpretation of Dreams, pakar psikoanalis Sigmund Freud mengatakan bahwa mimpi merupakan pesan alam bawah sadar yang abstrak terhadap alam sadar. Pesan itu berisi keinginan, ketakutan dan berbagai macam aktivitas emosi yang sama sekali tidak disadari. Hal itu diamini oleh Dr. Andreas.

Faktor Fisik

Ketidakseimbangan otak terjadi karena secara metabolisme, organ tersebut memang sedang terganggu. Misal, karena asupan nutrisi anak memang tidak baik dan membuat kerja otaknya tak maksimal. Kekurangan cairan (kurang minum air putih) juga akan membuatnya kerap terlihat “bengong.” Ini bisa dipahami mengingat 75% tubuh manusia terdiri dari cairan yang 25%-nya berada di otak.

Kelebihan suatu nutrisi (kebanyakan makanan yang mengandung gula) bisa juga membuat otak tidak seimbang. Jadi dapat dibayangkan, pada kondisi kekurangan atau kelebihan salah satu zat gizi saja, sudah dapat memengaruhi otak, apalagi pada kasus anak yang mengalami ketidakseimbangan gizi yang parah.

Faktor fisik lain yang dapat menjadi “biang keladi” ketidakseimbangan otak adalah kurangnya anak bergerak. Ia lebih sering menghabiskan waktu di depan teve, ketimbang berlari-larian di luar rumah, contoh. Padahal tubuh harus cukup bergerak dan digerakkan. Banyak diam akan membuat otak jadi tidak seimbang lantaran tidak terstimulasi dengan baik. Aneka permainan outdoor dipercaya dapat merangsang gerak motorik supaya otak anak terstimulasi dengan baik. Demi mempererat hubungan orangtua dengan anak, aktivitas fisik yang disarankan dilakukan intens setiap hari ini akan sangat baik jika dilakukan bersama-sama sekeluarga.

Saat harus memilih kopi atau teh, biasanya yang menjadi pertimbangan adalah selera karena keduanya sudah terbukti sama-sama menyehatkan. Namun pada saat-saat tertentu, manfaat teh maupun kopi bisa saling mengungguli satu sama lain.

2. Saat butuh selalu sehat

Sebuah penelitian tahun 2009 menunjukkan bahwa minum 4 cangkir kopi tiap hari bisa mengurangi risiko diabetes tipe-2 sebesar 30 persen. Penelitian lain menunjukkan. minum kopi minimal 3 cangkir setiap hari juga bisa menurunkan risiko kanker kulit sebanyak 9 persen.

Meski demikian, manfaat jangka panjang dari kebiasaan minum teh setiap hari juga telah banyak dibuktikan terutama pada teh hijau. Kandungan antioksidan dalam minuman ini bisa memperkuat daya tahan tubuh, serta pada laki-laki sangat efektif mencegah kanker prostat.

Pilihan: Keduanya sama-sama menyehatkan untuk dikonsumsi setiap hari.

3. Saat butuh menurunkan berat badan

Secara umum, kafein sudah terbukti bisa menurunkan berat badan serta lingkar pinggang. Namun secara khusus, sebuah penelitian di American Journal of Clinical Nutrition membuktikan bahwa minum teh hijau setiap hari efektif mengecilkan perut sebanyak 3,4 cm dalam 12 pekan saja.

Pilihan: Teh, karena efeknya lebih cepat dalam membakar lemak dan membuat metabolisme sel menjadi lebih efisien.

4. Saat butuh badan berotot

Jika teh lebih efektif membakar lemak, maka kopi paling efektif membentuk massa otot karena kadar kafein yang lebih tinggi membuat efek stimulansianya makin kuat. Ketika seseorang, terutama laki-laki minum 2,5 cangkir kopi sebelum olahraga maka ia sanggup melakukan sprint atau lari cepat 9 persen lebih jauh.

Pilihan: Kopi, karena otot butuh stimulasi untuk bisa bekerja lebih berat. Makin sering dipakai untuk kerja berat, massa otot akan semakin berkembang.

5. Saat butuh memperbaiki suasana hati

Berbeda dengan kopi yang sering membuat jantung berdebar-debar karena kadar kafeinnya cukup tinggi, teh lebih cocok untuk meredakan ketegangan pada urat saraf. Bahkan menurut European Journal of Applied Physiology, beberapa jenis teh seperti teh melati dan teh lavender bisa meredakan stres dan perasaan gelisah hanya dengan dicium baunya saja.
